Photoshop Tutorial On Simple Image Merging

PHOTO MERGING WITH PHOTOSHOP CS5 AND CS6


I will soon do a tutorial for basics in Photoshop,but before that this is a tutorial on photo merging...
If you are a noob,you might not understand it all but if you think you can learn fast then stick around and see if you can get it

Requirements-Photoshop cs5 or cs6(im using cs6 extended)
Quality pictures on which you can work

Step 1
Open Photoshop and open the picture you want to merge the other one into(here I have a Scooter )

Step 2
Open the picture that you want to merge onto this(here I have a Girl),It should open itself on another window or a tab

                                        












Step 3
 There is a tool called the Lasso tool,Its the third icon from the top of the picture given below..On cs5 the position might differ but the icon remains the same

Step 4
Use the Lasso tool to cut through the borders of the picture you want(here im cutting of the background of the girl by cutting through the borders of the girl )
After cutting through the border of the picture using Lasso tool,it should look something like this

After doing so,right click on the cut image and it should show a menu like the one given below,select the "layer via cut" option from that.                                                  

                 

Step 6

Layer via cut will produce another layer,which contains only the selected portion..You can see the new layer in the right corner layers box..Click on the eye like icon to the left of the old layer to hide the old layer..resulting in the view of the cut portion

 

 Step 7

 Use the move tool,that's the tool on the top of the tools bar on the left side to move the cut image to the first image we opened(here the scooter)

  Step 8

Use the move tool and drag it to the image on the tab above,which would result in something like this   This might look a bit confusing to you but you can easily reduce the size of the girls image                

                                                                                                                                                                       

Step 9
Use the free transform tool in the edit option to freely reduce the size and change the angle of the image

Step 10
After free transformation click on this icon on top right to fix it

Step 11
After doing so it should look somthing like this

If you said *MOTHER OF PHOTOSHOP* right now,its alright..it looks so fake right now,because both the images has been captured in different color schemes and lighting..

Step 12

Right click on the layer 1 from the right side bar,that contains the girls image and you will see a drop down box..Find Blending options from the drop down box and click on it

Step 13
After clicking the blending option,you will get something like this..You can use the  blending option to change the lighting,color and exposure to make it look the same as the scooter

Step 14
After you correct all the lighting and other setting using blending options,you will get something like this

And That Is The Simplest Method To Merge Pictures Together..
